JOB SUMMARY
We are currently seeking 2 x Business Development Managers, one to be based in the North West and the other to be based from our HQ in Leicestershire. You must have a relevant, successful track record in Field Sales or be looking to make the move up from a successful internal sales or telesales background.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The position will report to the Sales Manager
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Principal Accountabilities but not limited to the following;
- Pro-actively develop & maintain existing and new business relationships with resellers & distributors
- To take ownership and accountability for the day-to-day running and business development of key accounts
- Work pro-actively to identify new business opportunities
- Improve the handling of key accounts to increase the efficiency & effectiveness of the service we offer
- To achieve & exceed , monthly sales targets using all sales tools i.e. phones, mailshots, seminars, visits etc
- Work closely with the internal sales team to target accounts and opportunities
- Be flexible, the role will include early starts and over night stays on occasions
- Collate, summarise and accurately report key management account information on a monthly basis
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform other duties as assigned by Sales Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be well presented and a confident communicator at all levels
- PC literacy (Google or Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer) with fast & accurate keyboard skills
- Ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Must have a logical thought process and the ability to get things done
- Ability to work well under pressure
REQUIRED
- Minimum 2 year successful sales background – proof of success will be required and references taken.
- IT Literate with knowledge of IT & Networks including vendors such as Cisco, IBM and HP
- Confident communicator with an excellent phone manor and customer facing ability
- Must be driven, enthusiastic, motivated, tenacious and pro-active with a high work rate and determination to succeed
- Full UK driving license (Manual)
PREFERRED
Any experience working in a commercial environment, supporting a fast growing organisation, individuals who can contribute additional value, ability to think laterally.
