In 2024, Cameo committed to defining science-based targets, reducing its emissions and submitted near-term targets that have now been independently assessed and approved by the SBTi.

Cameo’s near-term targets:

Cameo commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2031 from a 2024 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.

Established in 2015, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organisation enabling businesses to set emission reduction targets in line with climate science and to align with the Paris Agreement goals to keep global warming below 1.5°C.

Luke Horton-Walker, Managing Director at Cameo said: “Sustainability is a core part of our business, and we are continuously looking at ways that we can make real and meaningful change. Having our targets approved by the SBTi keeps us laser-focused on driving positive change in our organisation and beyond for our partners and their customers through the circular IT services we provide.
